Where to Eat, Sleep & Shop in 72hrs
In the city that never sleeps, it can feel a little overwhelming to plan a weekend trip to the Big Apple. But don’t worry, the Dynamite Trip Guide will help you pack in a full day’s worth of shopping, sleeping, eating and sight seeing in NYC! With so many endless options and countless new openings, New York City in Spring is a melting pot of trendy spots. But where to start?
NYC Spring 2016 Guide
First you want to pick a neighborhood that best suits your personal style and destination needs, which is why we love Chelsea. Industrial in nature, this neighborhood evolved into a trendy spot for art lovers. It buzzes with culture but still maintains a residential feel and has become one of the most sought-after places to live in New York City.
WHERE TO STAY: HOTEL AMERICANO
Located in the heart of the Chelsea Riviera between the High Line and the Hudson River, Hotel Americano is a relatively new boutique hotel with a minimalist-chic, Japanese-inspired design. Before heading out to dinner, we suggest heading up to the roof and have a few drinks by the pool (equipped with a DJ) and soak in the view of the city’s skyline.
WHERE TO EAT: CHELSEA MARKET
Walking through Chelsea Market’s striped down brick building, you’ll find lots of choices to grab a delicious lunch and browse the little shops. With over 35 vendors, the foodie in you won’t be disappointed!
WHAT TO SEE: HIGH LINE
Next up, walk off that lunch along the High Line. Built from an old abandoned rail line and transformed into a linear park at 30 feet above street level and over 2km long, it’s a wonderful example of urban renewal and a unique NYC experience.
WHERE TO SHOP: MEATPACKING DISTRICT
From designer boutiques to bookstores and flea markets, the Meatpacking District is a shopping fanatic’s dream. The area is built on cobblestone streets, so you might want to skip the heels that day. All that shopping will definitely build up an appetite and you won’t need to go far to find a cute little resto and have dinner with the girls.
