Osheaga Music Recap
We were in music heaven at Osheaga Music & Arts Festival this past weekend. The beauty about this festival is they have something for everyone to leave happy. Here’s who we think you should know:
Why we love them: Their ‘street beat, psych pop’ sound is exactly what we were looking for at Osheaga. This New York duo is about to blow up so get it on now. Random, they also collaborated with Outkast’s Big Boy on a few of his solo tracks. (Who were also incredible at the festival.)
Song on repeat: Fall in Love
Why we love them: The adorable singer Lauren Mayberry will no doubt put you in a bubbly good mood. Her quirky comments between songs made us love this Scottish trio even more.
Song on repeat: The Mother We Share
Why we love them: Singer James Keogh is folky but with a happier vibe than most singer-songwriters. You can’t help but sing along to their songs. Oh and his cute Australian accent will make you melt.
Song on repeat: Riptide
We got to hang with one of our models, Brittany Luttrell at Osheaga and she gave us her top performances from the weekend. Check out Brittany’s picks:
Volcano Choir : From the genius behind Bon Iver, this is his latest project. “They’re great because you can tell they put so much love and emotion into every song”
Half Moon Run: “I absolutely love Half Moon Run! It’s always great to see a Montreal band succeed.”
Flume: “I listen to them a lot when I’m in need of motivation or inspiration. It’s my feel good music.”
If you haven’t been living under a rock then you for sure already know these arts who all had amazing performances. We have to give props to: Lorde, Jack White, Haim, Outkast, Serena Ryder, Arctic Monkeys, J.Cole. They all killed it!
See who we can’t stop listening to here.
